Physicists - Pictures!
I finally ordered one of the Physicist shirts for myself, something I've been meaning to do since we got this awesome shirt in the store. The shirts came out great! I can't tell you how happy I am with these shirts. I originally ordered a single Navy Blue shirt, intending it to look authentic. I was very surprised when I received an email from our vendor telling us the Navy Blue looked terrible! He indicated the colors did not look right at all, apparently the Navy Blue of the shirt was the *exact same* Navy Blue as the logo, making the shirt look like part of it was just shiny, and not colored right at all. Now if you know anything about color correction in fabric printing you'll know how unlikely this was. When you work on shirts on a computer your screen displays colors one way, which translates to ink a different way, when then gets printed on colored fabric, which is a whole different kind of color translation! Getting an image on your shirt to look like the image on your monitor can be quite the challenge, I almost didn't believe the colors could match so closely. Instead our vendor sent me two shirts, one printed on Ash, and one on Royal Blue. After taking a close look at the two shirts I understood what he meant, I could see how the colors would not look correct printed on the same color background. My solution was rather simple, I've removed all of the Navy colored shirt options, so you can no longer get this tee shirt on a Navy background. For now I left the Navy Uniform as it's probably a slightly different color, if we get an order for one I'll ask for our vendors professional option on how it looks before shipping it out, as it might not be as good as it should be. These shirts came out fantastic, they were so good I felt I needed to take pictures to show you just how beautiful they came out. Here's my best attempt at some photos!

Just look at how beautiful they came out, great job Greg! I am absolutely in love with these great shirts, I really can't tell you how much I enjoy wearing these out. I have still yet to get the mistaken sports fan having something to say to me, I'm going to enjoy that. I'm also still waiting for the geek double-take, I think that will be my favorite reaction. Now that spring is here I'll be wearing these shirts out a lot more often, so it's only a matter of time before I get some comments on it!

It's here! The first shirt in our new line of "Go Team Science!" shirts!

I have been trying to come up with a line of good "Science" shirts for quite some time, being a self proclaimed scientist of sorts myself, as well as a huge fan of the entire process and community in general. The idea actually came to me one day at work when the local sporting arena was having some sort of "event", perhaps a daring competitive brew-ha-ha with a regional foe, in any case, the decision was to encourage everyone to dress casual and wear a garment in support of their local franchise. It's then that I thought "Wouldn't it be a lark to have a sporting styled logo for my own favorite franchises?" and with that we started creating our new line of "Go Team Science!" shirts. Of course, I started with my favorite branch of organized science, physics!
Team Physicists has quiet a bit going for them in the 2009 season, with a new particle accelerator joining the team which can pass a proton at an amazing 670,616,623 miles per hour! The speed of light itself is a mere 670,616,629 miles per hour, this is a difference of only 6 miles per hour! The average male jogs at approximately 6.9 miles per hour! This is an incredible 0.999999991 percent the speed of light. With action that fast how can any other branch of science hope to compete?

I was partying in this hockey arena in like, 2001, at a party called Boom4Ever, looking around the party at cool shirts. DJs Frankie Bones, Tommy Gunn, KRS One, Bam Bam, over 3000 in the arena, you know the score. Candy Kids with Dayglow clothes, Tie Dyed shirts on Jam Band kids and mundanes from outside the scene with average stuff you've seen before. I'm up in an upper seating areas and I see THE most memorable shirt of the evening. Amongst the writhing throng of flashing party people, on the back of this kids black shirt is a huge, all white text message I can read from across the hockey rink on the back of his shirt, So I made one for us ...

I still can't stop laughing about this wicked funny shirt, even after all these years!

Contest for March
Well, March has come and gone, so that means we should have handled the Myspace contest by now.
We're a little late on that, plus we're not running a contest for April (more on that soon or read our blog at http://www.myspace.com/illegalthreads), so to make up for it, we're upgrading the runnerup prizes.

ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD
For those who don't yet know the new Futurama movie "Benders Big
Score" comes with an extra feature on the DVD, a full 22 minute long
episode of "Everybody Loves Hypnotoad", which is as it originally
aired.
This original episode is arguably better than the movie itself! We can
only hope it will get syndicated here on 21st century TV for us all to
enjoy.
I've watched this full episode four times now, and though I don't
remember anything I always awaken feeling refreshed.
Now I've been hearing some rumblings on the Internet about this
episode, which by the way, is 3H312 "Amazon Adventure" quite possibly
one of the most exciting episodes ever produced. Some people have
called it "boring" and even claimed they couldn't sit though it all!
How anyone could even get up at all right in the middle of Everybody
Loves Hypnotoad without the direct instruction of the Glorious
Hypnotoad is beyond me.
